Schools
Educational groups, school classes and youth organisations are welcome to visit
the Archaeological Site of Prizren Fortress and
the Archaeological Museum of the Fortress.
All school visits must be arranged in advance.
Booking school visits
For all school visits — both to the open-air archaeological locality and to the indoor museum exhibition — prior coordination is required. This ensures that your group will be received properly, the site will be prepared, and a structured visit or guided explanation can be arranged.
Schools are kindly asked to contact the Manager of Prizren Fortress in advance to confirm the date, time, number of students and educational needs.
Educational focus
Visits may include thematic explanations in archaeology, history, architecture, cultural heritage protection, and interpretation of artifacts displayed in the museum.
Two locations
1) Archaeological Locality
Open-air remains across the hill: walls, towers, casemates and historic structures.
2) Archaeological Museum
Permanent exhibition inside the main building of the Fortress.
Custom visits
Upon request, the management may organise customised educational sessions, adapted to different age groups and school subjects.
