The site is accessible by foot through several marked footpaths starting from Shadervan Square and the Marash neighbourhood. The walk takes 10–15 minutes uphill. Comfortable footwear is recommended. Accessibility Due to its historic and archaeological nature, Prizren Fortress includes uneven terrain, stone steps, steep paths and natural surfaces. Unfortunately, full accessibility for wheelchair users is currently limited. Selected viewing areas are accessible with assistance. Safety Stay on marked paths at all times. Do not climb on walls, towers or unstable structures. Supervise children closely. Beware of slippery stones during rain and snow. Follow guidance from staff or conservation workers. Facilities Information panels at key locations. Panoramic viewpoints over the city. Benches and rest areas along the path. No toilets inside the fortress (use facilities in the old town before visiting). No shops or cafés at the fortress. Photography Photography for personal use is allowed and encouraged. The views from the fortress are among the most iconic in Kosovo. Drone usage requires prior permission. Rules of conduct No littering — please use bins in the old town. No fires or barbecues. No graffiti or damage to archaeological structures. No loud music or amplified sound. Respect ongoing archaeological or conservation work. Pets Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean after your pets. Group visits Schools, universities and organised groups are welcome.
